What do I envision:
Current PDA design is a constant battlle between screen space and data input space.
My proposal is to resolve this by placing the data entry points on the edges of the case using a series of pressure sensitive buttons which measure angle of deflection and pressure.
Buttons would be recessed for consistent finger orientation.
Ambidextrous
User programmable for sensitivity and selection options.
Kinesthetic and audio feed back (click/chime) created by piezio-electric transducers.
Joy stick* on back can act as a cursor driver with or without tilt drive
Can be an add on to existing devices as sleeve
Training can be rapidly accomplished with hyperlink trainer*
Work with youth, handicapped, manufacturers and univeristies to develop related hardware and software.
Create intuitive and friendly mode of expression.
Work with gamers and stage friendly competetions. Typing contests and impromptu
poetry slams, to devise ideal devices and incentivise people to learn to use them.
